The first time I went to Light the Night, an orientation event! During my first year, the event was online so the first time I experienced it in person was an orientation leader. At this event, each person writes on a candle a word or phrase they want to encompass their Brandeis experience. Then you light up your candle with the rest of your class as the Light of Reason art installation lights up with you. When I saw this in person and got to light my own candle for the first time, I got to see the Brandeis community come together in person for the first time as a physical representation of the community I had felt online for over a year! This is event is my favorite Brandeis experience and one I love to go back and visit during every orientation!
Sociology of Education with Professor Derron Wallace. The class pushed me to grow through discomfort and Professor Wallace really cared about getting to know each and everyone of us in the class. This class allowed me to not only think about problems in education but the intersection of societal problem and our own role in them, and how to create change beyond ourselves.
Hanging out with friends! Whether it be at rehearsals for my a capella group or the theater production I'm working on or simply hanging out I love spending time with my friends and the people that the Brandeis community so special.
Fenway Park! I love going to Red Sox games or even just going to the Fenway area to go to Restaurants like Wahlburgers or The Landsdowne!
