The community at Brandeis is so special. Everyone is so supportive and works to ensure that we can all succeed in our academic and personal endeavors. In addition, I think that Brandeis has also has such deep roots of social justice and inclusivity which I love. As a racial justice and health equity advocate I really appreciated the diverse and inclusive narratives of the school.
MELA, the largest cultural show on campus held by the South Asian Student Association. Each grade choreographs dances with and everyone participates (even if you can't dance). We also have a fashion show where we wear our cultural clothes and then end the night with delicious South Asian food.
Light the Night which is an event held during orientation for first-years. It's a really special time where we set our goals and hopes for our time here. I got to experience it again this past summer as an orientation leader which was also so fun!
