the Introduction to Asian American Studies course that I took during my first semester at Brandeis. Growing up, I had not been taught anything about my own history in school so having the opportunity to learn about what forces brought my family to where we are today was a deeply moving experience.
Chinatown! There are so many wonderful little bakeries and restaurants to get baos, hot dog buns, and egg puff waffles. My personal recommendation is Ho Yuen Bakery!
In celebration of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, my club invited my favorite artist, Japanese Breakfast, to come perform in the Levin Ballroom! She played an amazing show, and getting to meet her was a highlight of my time here!
