Tour Guide at Brandeis University
Class of 2023
Hometown: Brookline, MA
Either Evolution & Biodiversity with James Morris or Intro to Behavioral Neuroscience with Don Katz. Both professors teach interesting material with a teaching style that makes you really want to learn the content of the class. James Morris wrote the textbook that many of the biology classes use and always got me interested in class by blasting music or showing videos as we walked into the classroom to give us a preview of the material we would learn in that class period. Don Katz is witty, engaging, and always keeps class interesting by showing us fascinating case studies and teaching us how to be better neuroscientists.
Going to rehearsal for my a capella group (Up The Octave) three times a week and spending time with the amazing people in it.
My favorite place on campus is the Usdan Student Center because it has a game room, the C-store (convenient store), mail room, and a Dunkin. My favorite place in Waltham is In a Pickle! They have the best cookie dough pancakes!
My most memorable experience was the first time that I performed in the Slosberg Recital Hall in a piano-flute duo. All of my friends and family came to support me, and it was a great way to reflect on all that I had achieved that semester.
