Tour Guide at Brandeis University
Class of 2023
Hometown: Newcastle, WA
Secondary Major: Biology
My most memorable Brandeis experience had to be sledding down the hill by the library in the middle of finals week. I promise there's not a better stress reliever than flying down the snow at top speeds on a makeshift sled.
I knew I wanted a tight-knit community of people dedicated to their passions. I love that everyone here is crazy about something, whether it's volunteering for political campaigns, supporting women in STEM, or making the best oatmilk latte ever.
My favorite Brandeis class is Organic Chemistry! OChem has a really scary reputation, but Professor Murray makes the subject so accessible and approachable. She emphasizes science application to the real world and studying our passions. For me, I'm fanatical about my skincare routine, so she encouraged me to research the chemistry behind vitamin C serums.
Hammocking around campus and enjoying beautiful New England fall. After taking Professor Perlman's tree class, not only can I lounge in the afternoon sun with my Dunkin iced coffee, but I can identify most trees on campus.
