Gymnastics club! I've met some of my closest friends through the club, and have the opportunity to be VP this year! My favorite memory with the club was our nationals competition, where we got to fly into Memphis to compete.
Light The Night at orientation! This is when all new first years go to the Lights of Reason in front of the Rose Art Museum with tea lights. We write intentions for the next year on the lights, and once finished, everyone turns on their light and the entire area illuminates! It’s a really fun experience, and gives you a large sense of community while adjusting to the campus together as a class.
Kathrin Breuer of the German Studies Department! She is so sweet and is always up to chat with her students. Kaffeestunden (coffee hours) with her are always so fun, she makes the best Küchen (cake). I highly recommend trying out a class with her, she teaches in both English and German, so there are many opportunities to get to know her!
The community! I remember touring and hearing about how uplifting the atmosphere is on campus, both in and outside of the classroom. Being on campus I can definitely say that my experience thus far has acted as a testament to this! I always feel supported by my peers, professors and advisors, and have access to so many different resources that are here to help me during my time at Brandeis.
