Team Member at Brandeis University
Class of 2021
Hometown: Meriden, NH
Major: Neuroscience
Secondary Major: Health: Science, Society, & Policy
My favorite Brandeis class has been American Healthcare: Law and Policy, taught by Sarah Curi. I thoroughly enjoyed this class for many reasons. Because of the interdisciplinary nature of the the Health: Science, Society, & Policy major, students of all different paths take this class, from students pursuing careers in healthcare, to law, policy, and more. As this course is discussion-based, there were so many different perspectives at the table and each conversation was engaging and enriching. Learning about the U.S. healthcare system, as well as those around the world, is incredibly applicable and valuable, and I know I will use the foundation created by this class in both graduate school and into my career.
Intramural Soccer!! Some of my most favorite memories from Brandeis are the intramural soccer games under the lights with all my friends playing against other friends and fellow peers with a light-hearted yet competitive energy. My co-ed IM soccer team is the reigning champion of the fall tournament and we had an absolute blast.
The Midnight Buffet! I love this event because it includes incredible food from local restaurants and all my friends! This event happens at the beginning of finals week each semester. Everyone gathers at midnight to eat food catered by local Waltham restaurants. It is the best study break I could ask for!
On Campus - The Green outside of the library! I love this spot for eating lunch, studying, chatting with friends between classes and just laying in the sun! Waltham - The Charles River Path - my favorite place for long runs. Boston - The Seaport because of the views or The Newsfeed Cafe, attached to the Boston Public Library, - my favorite place to study on the weekends!
