Tour Guide at Brandeis University

She/her/hers

Class of 2021

Hometown: San Diego, CA

Major: Health: Science, Society, and Policy

Secondary Major: Politics

Minor: Legal Studies

My favorite Brandeis class/professor is...

Sociology of Disability with Professor Stephen Gulley or any class with Professor Daniel Breen. Sociology of Disability completely changed my worldview and made me challenge many of the status quos in my life and how I perceive disability. I also learned a lot about the disability rights movement and got to meet key activists from the movement like Judy Heumann, who advocated for the Americans with Disabilities Act. Daniel Breen is also a fantastic legal studies professor who is a fantastic storyteller and brings life to every case he talks about in class. He is also incredibly helpful outside of the classroom and will even bring cake to office hours sometimes.

I chose Brandeis because...

I not only fell in love with Brandeis because of the people and the level of involvement on campus, but I was also offered the chance to study abroad in London my first semester.

My favorite Brandeis tradition is...

This Is Our House happens during Orientation and is a love letter to the Brandeis community given by the Dean of Students Jamele Adams. This celebration of all things Brandeis includes singing, dancing, spoken word poetry, and a whole lot of love and acceptance. This event made me feel like I truly belonged at Brandeis, and many other students will say the same.

My favorite activity outside of class is...

Giving tours. I love showing prospective students and families how wonderful Brandeis is and telling them all my stories. I also love the Admissions community and how supportive and involved everyone is.

I'm passionate about...

Working at Summer Camps School Spirit Music Tennis Theater
