I chose Brandeis because, despite my initial commitment through a binding contract with the Posse scholarship, my experience has far surpassed what I anticipated. The environment here is not just welcoming but also empowering, allowing me to embrace and celebrate my identity while engaging with a diverse community of students and faculty.
Was attending the Relay for Life event. It was a powerful and moving evening that brought the whole community together to support cancer research and honor those affected by the disease.
Guiding prospective students on campus tours. I enjoy showcasing our institution's vibrant community and answering their questions about campus life. It's rewarding to witness their excitement and help them envision themselves as part of our academic community.
My favorite Brandeis class/professor is BIOL15B with Dr. Maira Miara, for whom I now proudly serve as a teacher assistant (TA). Each lecture was a showcase of her unwavering enthusiasm and ability to engage with students. This course both inspired and pushed me to work diligently, fostering a deep commitment to academic excellence.
