the 24 hour musical! I love walking through the SCC and seeing all the performers different backgrounds come together to learn their parts, dance, and perform for the entire community! Being a part of it my first year led me to some of my closest friendships and it was a great way for me to get into the art community!
exploring Boston and Cambridge! I love to be in the city and see the little eccentricities that make the greater Boston area a unique and beautiful place! Seeing the art museums, especially the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, inspires me to apply my individuality, ideas, and experiences into my own art making! Having accessible transportation like the Branvan is really fantastic because of how it invigorates me to keep on exploring and get to know my home more!
the people were so welcoming to me! During my visit, it was my first time going to the East Coast as a West Coast native, and having the student body and Brandeis community be so welcoming was what first drew me to the school. I also saw that the growth and learning opportunities at Brandeis would foster my passion, creativity, and leadership! Seeing how students grow to become more confident through curiosity made me excited to apply my own knowledge in any given setting, ultimately allowing me to give back to my community!
the Rose Art Museum! I love any type of art and having the Rose Art Museum as a resource has been amazing! It's a safe space for me to remain grounded, especially during a hectic week, and it's such an inspiring space that encourages inclusivity, equity, and identity within the art community and the general Brandeis community!
