Tour Guide at Brandeis University
Class of 2022
Hometown: New York
Major: Health; Science, Society, and Policy
Minor: Economics, Psychology
One of my favorite (and slightly secret so shhh) spots is the top of Mandel where there is a mini bamboo garden. Not only that, there's a beautiful view of campus from the top.
A Cappella - there’s much support for music/arts at Brandeis. I love watching the process of rehearsals turning into performances, all the while rehearsing with an awesome group of people. Shoutout to Up The Octave!
My favorite thus far has been Managing Medicine with Darren Zinner. This class uses case studies to explore policy and administrative decisions in healthcare. The content, assignments, discussion, and instruction of the course was highly interesting (even over zoom!). Each class was so engaging that when class was cancelled one day, I wasn't excited about getting extra sleep, but instead sad thinking about what I could have been learning that day. All around a great class.
For many reasons! I was impressed by the collaborative, extremely friendly community that I'm now proud to be a part of. Brandeis encourages exploring interests, which lead me to naturally fall into the HSSP major. Additionally, Brandeis' proximity to Boston and Cambridge is great for professional opportunities, night outs, or walking along the Charles River.
