My favorite Brandeis class is Sociology of Disability with Professor Stephen Gulley. I loved the class because we got to explore our own passions in the area, and connect them with the real world. My favorite Brandeis professor is Professor Wendy Cadge, because she is such an open and inviting professor. She made it extremely easy to go up and talk to her about anything, and because of that we developed a great relationship. She's now my major advisor!
My favorite Brandeis tradition is Light the Night, which is during your first week of your first year at Brandeis. All first-years come together at the Light of Reason statue, and hold up tea lights to show that we are united. It is really powerful to see all of your classmates standing around you, with only the lights to see.
I chose Brandeis because I was looking for a small school, where the community is more collaborative than cut-throat, and where I could easily approach and connect with my professors. Brandeis fits my vision perfectly!
My favorite place on campus is the Mandel rooftop, because it is a beautiful place to study where you can be outside and surrounded by greenery.
