I have served as an orientation leader twice before. The experience has been etched in my memory. It allowed me to go through the orientation process again myself and relive all the moments that enabled me to find my version of "home" at Brandeis.
Compassion. The best part about Brandeis is the amount people care. The care is not merely in one aspect of community life, but it goes across everywhere. From your morning coffee to your class, to your club meetings, everyone has a sense of compassion and love.
I really enjoy using my love for finance academically across different campus clubs and activities. It allows me to both theoretically and practically apply my learning. Through serving as a consultant for TAMID - I am able to apply directly all that I learn in my Business and Economics Classes into practice with Israeli Startups. This professional mixture with academia is quite fruitful and rewarding.
Michael Strand! I was new to sociology when I entered Brandeis, but interactions with him really instilled a desire for knowing more about the world through applying "sociological imagination".
