My most memorable Brandeis experience is directing my first student play the spring semester of my freshman year. I directed "Hamlet" for Hold Thy Peace and it was amazing to put together a full show from start to finish. I also formed great connections with professors who came to see the piece.
My favorite place in the Boston area is Porter Square. You can get there via the commuter rail, and it's a really local area of Cambridge with great shops and places to eat. I grew up going to Porter Square Books on weekends, and it's still one of my favorite places to visit. The owner of the store is so nice, and they make great chocolate muffins.
The 24 hour musical! It's such a goofy tradition and a great way to break the ice with your new classmates. I think it really exemplifies how Brandeis students aren't afraid to try something new and take on crazy challenges. and the 24 hour musical is always so fun to watch!
Brandeis has some of the most academically driven and kind people I have ever met! At Brandeis I'm able to have two majors, three minors, be part of ten clubs, and I feel as though my whole community is cheering me on.
