Tour Guide at Brandeis University
Class of 2022
Hometown: Coral Gables, FL
Major: Environmental Studies
Secondary Major: Biology
My favorite place on campus is the Third Floor of the Shapiro Science Center balcony, a hub for science research and a great view of Waltham. My favorite place in Waltham is In A Pickle, a great breakfast restaurant.
I was looking for a community of students who were dedicated and drive to what they do inside and outside of the classroom. I was looking for a group of students who were genuinely kind and compassionate to one another. I was looking for a group of students who wanted to make change in the world, and found all of that and so much more at Brandeis.
My favorite class is Environmental Studies 39B, a Climate Change seminar. Different professors from around the university come lecture about how climate change affects their work. My favorite professor is Dan Perlman in the Environmental Studies Department
My favorite Brandeis Tradition is Light the Night during orientation, when all the first year students and Orientation Leaders gather around the Light of Reason and turn on candles signifying the start of one's time at Brandeis.
