My favorite place on campus is Chapels Field. At any point throughout the year, you can find me relaxing, throwing a frisbee around with my friends, or having a scrimmage with the Men's and Women's Ultimate Teams! It's an awesome place to just chill and it also hosts some of Brandeis' coolest events throughout the year!
I chose Brandeis because of its incredible community- both in the sphere of learning and just as people. Brandeis provides a space to learn that is collaborative and warm as well as a place to grow and thrive as a person that is accepting and diverse.
My favorite activity outside of class is definitely TRON- the Men's ultimate frisbee team. TRON is an accepting and really fun group of guys that yields not only a community unlike any other but is also an awesome stress reliever at the end of a long day.
My favorite class is Critical Perspectives in Urban Education with Professor Derron Wallace. Throughout the course of the semester, my thoughts and ideas of the education system and its equity, or lack thereof, were challenged and forced to grow and change. Looking back, not only did my appreciation for Brandeis' education grow, but I grew as a person, student, and future educator.
